Group Project in association with Tag Games.
Position Held: Lead Programmer/ GUI Programmer
2012 - 2013
As part of my 3rd year of study at Abertay University I worked as part of a team for a group project. this project was based on a client brief supplied to us by a local company (Tag Games, Dundee). we worked together with the company to create an Android game centred on using QR codes as a core game mechanic. The result of this project can be seen in the Past Projects section of this site, entitled "Qonkers". During this project I served the role of both lead programmer and also GUI programmer. This project lasted for a year and allowed me to experience a full development lifecycle of a game and also to communicate with a real company who helped advise/guide the group as we progressed. Over the course of the project I became experienced with a Unity plugin known as UI Toolkit which I used to create much of the games user interface.
Tester
2012 - 2012
I participated in a small summer apprenticeship with my lecturer Paul Robertson (Abertay University) for Yo-Yo Games (Dundee based company). In which we had to test out various other game engines that rival their GameMaker engine and submit our findings through questionnaires.
