Qonkers of the result of a 3rd year group project at Abertay University. The group was given a brief by a local games company (Tag Games, Dundee) in which we were asked to create an android game with QR codes being a core gameplay mechanic.
The idea the group went with was a conker battling game inspired by the days of playground fun and infuse it with the "over the top" japanese gameshow vibe. Every conker was randomly generated with different health, traits, speeds and more by scanning a QR code. You could then store conkers in your inventory and battle with them.
The game was developed in Unity which allowed it to be ported to various platforms if desired. Over all it was a fairly sucessful project with lots of positive feedback recieved from lecturers and also Tag Games.
I was the lead programmer and GUI programmer of the group.
